Been going thru some old files tonight.

Came across this Eagles gem.

There are many of these early Eagles unappreciated and dismissed songs.

Sorry, Joe, but when you joined the Eagles,
it was actually a disjoint.

Go back and listen to some of the Eagle's early stuff.

TwentyOne; Ole'55; Sad Cafe; Saturday Night; Hollywood Waltz - IMHO these are just great songs. Everything is in there - lyrics, melody, harmony, composition, and feel/emotion.

We do "Train Leaves Here," the old Gene Clark song off their first album. Great stuff on their first few albums.

I set the video camera up to see if I could get some decent audio...not the best quality, but you get the idea. (Please pardon the cheesy effects. I was just messing around. It was never really meant to be shown...I've just never extracted the audio.) Forum member Doug Jones is playing pedal steel. Recorded about a year ago.

Nice job Mike/Doug. I like the breaks.

Great song, too. We do it also.

Thanks Jimmy...
Didn't know this...
So many great talents, and behind the scenes artists.

They veryily made and added to the the Eagle's
sound, and recieved hardly any recognition.

What a bunch of bunk!!!

But it comes as no surprise.

They probably got bought off early-on by Don Henley, because he was not only a brilliant songwriter, but a master promoter and you-name-it. He is the Eagles.

Like him or not, he is a very smart and talented dude.

Wish I had 1/2 his bravado and energy.
