The October edition of the recorded continuous airing of "Swingin' West" is up on the Internet on twangtownusa.com. It will be on 24 hours a day seven days a week over and over, for the entire month. We just retuned from vacation and I do want to send out this reminder now.
The theme for this month, October, is a salute to Bob Wills fiddle players after their days with Bob Wills. You will swing with the legendary National Band of Texas, the River Road Boys with their great fiddle players Clyde Brewer and former Bob Wills fiddler Bob White in the spotlight. You will also enjoy the fiddle of other Bob Wills fiddle greats such as Johnny Gimble, Tiny Moore, Joe Holley, George Uptmor, Billy McBay, Bob Boatright and Gene Gasaway. Other selections feature former Bob Wills Texas Playboy fiddle player and vocalist Bill Choate and the late and great Keith Coleman with Jack Stidham from a historic album by Jack. You can also enjoy Curly Lewis, Frankie McWhorter, Cecil Brower and a cut from a tribute album to Jesse Ashlock.
