Can someone tell me why anyone would need a setup that requires forty strings? Why not just have two steels at a 90 deg. angle to each other, all tuned to whatever one wants or needs?

Better still, why not modify a harp to have steel bridges and nuts and end up with a 65 string steel guitar?
