Nick Nixon?
Does anyone know if Nick Nixon is still performing and if so where? He had a couple albums released on a major label in the 70s, I believe on Capital Records and he did perform around the St. Louis area 10 or 15 years ago.

Hey Kenny, I've wondered about him too. I have one of his LP's from the middle 70's which is great. I loved his voice and always thought he should have went a lot farther than he did. I belive he's from the St.Louis area and might be still performing around there.....JH in Va.

Goes without saying I liked him, too!
Best wishes,Andy.

Nick still lives in the St. Louis area and does not perform regularly, he is a real estate agent, he remarried not too long ago and has had another child, about 3 or 4 years old now maybe? He is head of the "Gateway Country Music Association" and with Scotty's help along with many others has published a book of "Who's, Who" in Country Music in the St. Louis area of which I'm proud to be included.
Here is the email we have, don't know if it's current or not...but hope it helps,

John,
That watering hole, most likely, was the "Downspout". I played there, back in the mid 70's,w/ T.O. Nick & the band opened for us. Talk about intimidated..........

I had the pleasure of Having Nick show up at one of my Gigs with his entire band at Ole Lynns Lounge in Chicopee Falls, after working the BIG "E" fair. What was special also that on Steel was Wally Murphy.Nick myself and Murph had been out to a steak house earlier (which I got stuck for the bill). (Also found out that I can be out belched) Jim Smith had introduced me earlier in the week to Wally as he delivered a brand new black DEKLEY D11 to him. That week I took Wally to a Jazz club where he woke up the house with his stunning Jazz knowlege and ability. On Saturday night Wally showed up at the club with the band and Nick. After they did a set, Nick got up and put on his whole show .Nick is one who in my opinion and many many others, should have been one of the biggies. Just one more great thing that I owe thanks to Jim Smith for.Murphs down here in Fla wowing them still at Downtown Disney.
