John Reese and I wrote a new song last Sunday, and yesterday we recorded it. I've posted it on my blog.

No steel on this one - I'm playing the Saito 3 octave marimba. John and Nancy are playing acoustic guitars and singing.

Now that was some great music! Hey Bobby, I really liked the ride you took towards the end of the song. On my media player I used the Colors in Motion visualizations, and you should see what the marimba "looks" like....way nice! I thought you'd just started playing around with a marimba, but it sounded like you've been playing for years. I can see why you wanted to add the flavor of this instrument into your music...gives it that real jazzy feeling, I loved it. Thanks for sharing this.

Joy

I only got to hear a short part of it due to my connection, but liked what I heard. I always liked marimbas and vibes. I was impressed by the blog, we used Print Shop a lot. Good work.

Follow the links on the blog to "steel guitar jam" and there's some really great pictures of a lot of different brands of steel guitars! Nice 14 string pedal steel too.

Nice job of posting the pics b0b!

I can't take credit for that. Bill Lewellyn took and posted those great jam pics. I just linked to them (like I'm doing now). Great jam, Bill!
