| I didn't go to St. Louis this year, but I have gone to 4 previous ISGC's and always there was this tall guy dressed in black who danced to the music all through the shows. He would stand offstage and to the left right by the large speakers. Anyone know the story on him? Yes, he dances alone. |

Aw, come on, man. Distracting? In St. Louis, Bob is considered a barometer for the quality of entertainment.. if he shows up, it's an upper echelon event. He's a local icon and appreciated by local music fans.

Really - If he showed up in our little town of 250 for our Labor Day Parade (which draws about double the people that attend the St Louis show) He would be positioned right behind the horses and he could make his fancy moves with a scoop shovel -and would be appreciated!!

| He jumped up on stage when I was playing in Nashville. It was kind of cool because we were playing a Beatle tune. But he was flailing all over the place right by me, and my steel was shaking violently from his jumping around. Made it tough to play. |

| I know B eatle Bob personally, he's very intelligent and has a wealth of info about all different styles of music. Sometimes he can be a pain, but most local musicians pretty much tolerate without paying him a whole lot of attention.JimP |

| We always look for this guy when we go to St Louis. He's a staple at Scottys Show. You all lighten up on him. He ain't hurting nothing and is just having fun. That's what we all go there for. I've had a lot of worse ones jump on stage when we were playing and knock stuff over and even cause fights. I'm amazed at all the stuff on Google! |

| Beatle Bob is no more irritating than all the pedal steel players doing the same Ray Price songs over and over and over.Kind of like Beatle Bob dancing in front of the speakers,year after year after year. Thank God for Non Pedal Steel Players |

Man, I'm so confused! Are we supposed to be whining that not enough people like the steel guitar or that 'other' kinds of people aren't supposed to be able to join our little secret society of those in the know about steel guitar?

I haven't been to the ISGC is several years, but I always enjoyed seeing this ecentric dance at the side of the stage.
If he makes a nuisence of himself by standing in front of you, and ruining the show that you've been waiting for, I can why you wouldn't be a fan. That's what folks are complaining on other sites.

There are certain songs that you will hear non-peddlers do over and over too. I happen to enjoy both. |

I sat next to a couple, I believe it was their first ISGC, and they were getting a huge kick out of Beatle Bob and his enthusiastic dancing.
But another guy from the audience went up and appeared to instigate a confrontation with B.B., creating a mini-scene where before there was just a guy dancing next to the speakers. |
