Anybody have experence with Nashville or NYC entertainment lawyers.

Good, Bad, Horrible, Abysmal

Especially pertaining to distribution deals, and general lable contact.
Mainly thinking indies and nitch lables etc.

There are some honest brokers out there and others will eat their own children if it means they can take your cash,
and then do nada.

Been out of the country so long, I ain't sure who's still around.

Any general experiences post here,
and any names in particular... send be e-mmail good or bad.
Commenting in public on a specific lawyer.. seems a bit... ah, risky.

Joey thanks, interesting.

I liked this link http://www.musicrowlawyer.com/

I am not exactly a babe in the woods on this, my dad ran a record company,
But I have been out of the country for a few years.
So I figured some one might have a success story or two.

I like the Billy Bob off the bus anecdote, Classic.

Doctors' conversation, overheard in a hospital hallway:

Dr. 1: Tough morning. I had to tell the music business lawyer in 2407 that he only has two weeks to live.

Dr. 2: (showing great remorse) Awww.... I wanted to tell him!
