The one he sung right after 9/11. I'm ashamed I can't think of the title.
does anybody know where I might be able to find the words and chord changes on the web?
I'd like to learn that song to sing in church.

Great song. I think it was Brad Paisley who said that when Alan Jackson wrote that song, all the other songwriters could put their pens down, because it says it all.

I can't imagine being able to make it through without breaking up, it's such an emotional song.

With all due respect to Brad Paisley AND Les Pierce, I think " Have You Forgotten" says it better. Just my opinion and it should be yours.

Well, Larry, with all due respect, I've heard both songs, and I have to say I like Allan"s "Where were you when The World Stoped Turnin" although, "Have You Forgotten" is a great song.

I agree Les, very emotional song.

Thanks Ray, but I think I'll just record it off the radio, or buy the sheet music. I just want the one song.

Guys,

Those songs are not really on the same subejct, although both generally tie to 9/11. Worley's song is much more in the aftermath and takes issue with the longer term reaction to 9/11, not the initial reaction. It's possible that Paisley's remarks were made even before "Have You Forgotten" was written. Besides, Brad didn't seem to suggest that the writers leave those pens alone for long.
