I'm not sure Tommy will post this here, but he put this on the PARIS User Group (PARIS is a under-the-radar digital recording system used by Tommy, myself and Mike Smith, among many others). Way to go, Tommy.... . Just a little SSP help from Colorado.
(quote from Tommy's post)
"I am so proud of this for all concerned I couldn't help myself. The
current single from an album I produced, engineered, and played on just hit
#1 today on the Texas Music Chart. The single is a tune sung by Jason Allen,
written by the late Harlan Howard, entitled "My Heart Turned Left" from the
album "Wouldn't It Be Nice" on D Records. It was recorded and mixed in
Paris." |

Janice, be sure and pick up Jamie's new CD with Tommy playing....a must have, and Tommy sparkles!. I had the pleasure of playing on the road with Jason in all of 03' and attempting Tommy's fills and solos....a fun learning experience. Mr. Detamore is a great all around musician and producer. Congrats Tommy.....keep up the great work. Your buddy, Russ |

Congrats to you boys. Most folks have no clue about the Texas chart. I don't know of any other state that has it's own music chart. My band is currently fighting it out for a place on the Texas chart also. It's a tough business, even regionally.
Good job, and keep up the good work. |

Still one of my favorite CD's is Ed Burleson's Perfect World. Mainly because of Tommy's great steel work. He's one of the best. |

Personally, I have taken to referring to him as "The Great Tommy Detamore", and I mean it. |

I used to play with Jamie when he was a youngin', and it makes me proud he's finally getting something together. I've played a few dates with him in Oklahoma and one in Texas after "No Regrets" came out, and had a ball. Looking forward to his new one, as I've only heard the clips on the website. Tommy, he speaks very highly of you, and deservingly so!
Janice: I told you last year that you'd like Jamie's cd!!! Too bad he and Jason doesn't get any "mainstream" airplay. (Probably 'cause it's too good!!!) |
