Folks, I am not necessarily trying to promot Ray Pillow but I just got his new CD yesterday. It was recorded with the Grand Ole Opry staff band and hoss, it is traditional country with a kind of modern sound. Tommy White plays some of the tastiest licks I have ever heard. Every one of the musicians really shine on these 12 songs. They are all new songs and I am impressed and I am not easily impressed. If you want to hear some genuine country music you gotta get this one. It is called "Ray Pillow Country Class" and i mean to tell you it is from the first song "I Do, But I Don't" to the last one "I Wonder Who's Missing You Now". Just thought I would let you know about this great country CD.

Gere...I've always liked Ray's voice..there's parts of his tone placement that's reminiscent of Mel Tillis. Anyway, give the rest of us a clue as to where to get one.

A few weeks ago, there was a thread about favorite singers. I mentioned Ray in my post, I've always thought he was a great singer. I never got to work very much with Ray, but loved seeing him when we worked the opry. Great guy too, I used to play alot of golf with him. Wouldn't it be great to see Ray have a huge hit?

It is available from his web site but I got mine at Ernest Tubb Record Store out by Opryland..I had heard him being interviewed and they played a cut and told myself I have to have it...so I went and got it and have played it a zillion times already.

Gere, I just drove home from Florida yesterday, about a 9 hour trip, spent 7 of those hours listening to Ray. The guy is absolutely, knock out great.

Pat, pay special attention to "I Wonder Whos's Missing You Now". Tommy really out does himself on the turn around on that one. I listen to it over and over and in fact am listening to it now as I type. Sooooooooo good.
