Webb did a song called "The Sands of Gold".
When did he do it? Was it just an album cut and never had radio play? I have a copy of the song on a tape with other artists. It is not your "typical" Webb Pierce style (background music), but it is a pretty song. Jim Miller I'D RATHER BE STEELIN'

Jimmy,

Webb did an album in 1964 called "Sands Of Gold" (Decca 74486). I don't have it, but you might want to check out a fantastic website that has endless information about old records:
www.luma-electronic.cz

This site has pictures of the LP covers as well as recording information and songs on the album (Webb Pierce is included!)

Regards, Walter
