From time to time people put thier music on here to share it, or to have it listened to to and analized. O.K. here are 4 songs that I wrote, performed by my band..(The first 2 don't have any steel on them.)
For your amusement.....

Jack, I wish you better luck than I've had.
You guys sound great. Nice getar playing and a train track drummer. Vocals really good.
I like it. cf[This message was edited by Charles French on 08 January 2004 at 03:43 AM.] |

Thanx Charles for the kind words.
I know nothing will ever come of these songs.
Years ago I wrote the train song and recorded it. (just after Bobbie Lee left the band that we were in)
I gave a copy to Emmylou Harris' fiddle player. Sometime after that I got a call from someone in her office saying that she liked the song but that it wouldn't fit in her new project, did I have anything else that might fit her...I didn't think that I did.
I have no delusions of my songs ever amounting to anything...but it's fun to write 'em. |

You gave a song to Emmylou's fiddle player, who thought enough of it to pass it along to her, who saw something enough to have her management personally call you and ask if you had anything else?
That tells me that you have something going for you. Keep it up.
