Right song-wrong words.

"Do you want to know a secret"
"Do you promise not to tell"

What animated movie was John Lennon watching when he wrote this song?

Bill, I don't think you're allowed to ask a question until we finish the song. Image

Yes you are correct Janice!!! Pinochio.

I believe that J. Crickett leans over and asks "Hey, do ya' wanna' know a secret?".
Lennon takes this line and writes the song.

Next line "Let me whisper in your ear"

PS Missed seeing you at Tommys' gig Sat. Donna. He sounded wonderful as usual. He also got me a free Fender 1000 steel to have some fun with.

I'm not big on the diolog of that movie but considering it was England 1962 it seemed logical it was on TV.

Hummpf! I really amazed nobody mentioned Roger Miller, or Johnny Cash, for that matter. They were both "doo-dah-ing" before Lennon. 'Course, Stephen Foster's the originator of the "doo-dah", back before the Civil War.

Am I the only one who learned "Camptown Races" in the second grade? Image
