I just got it yesterday and I gotta say if you like smooth but feisty honky-tonk E9 shuffles, do yourself a favor and check it out. It's called "Honky-Tonk Memories.com" on Southland Records.I was on a gig recently involving Marty Stuart and Connie Smith and we were all talking backstage about Dicky Overbey and Marty said "I love the way he plays because he's not afraid to lunge at you" Those who've heard him play know what that means. Oh and if you want to hear what people mean when they say "That Sound" in reference to an Emmons push-pull, Dicky is the purveyor of the most pure push-pull sound I've ever heard. And Dicky can sing too. Am I wrong? -MJ-
