Are you talkin' about that old Frankie Laine song? Cool! "Bluesey" song...with a lotta notes that just sound "weird". Man, without a good backup, that one would really sound bad!

That's the one- my fave version Tony Bennett with Bill Evans, close second BIllie Holiday...

I've got a chance to set in on a "jazz" set and the trumpet player said to work on that one... sadistic S0B (but I'm gonna work Brumley's solo into it somehow )

If you haven't heard it, you've just gotta listen to the Four Freshmen's version. Fantastic voicings on 4-part harmony -- especially where one voice moves from the 5th tone to the 6th then to the flatted 5th. One of my all-time favorites.

Dave, if you find the chord sheet on it, would you send me a copy? It would make a great steel instrumental.

Thanks,

Roy
