When I got in from the gig, I loaded up the Opry, and listened while I surfed the Forum.
The mix was terrible! Is it just my speakers or was it TERRIBLE!

I agree. I heard the portion around 7:30 to 8:00 on my way to the gig and thought it was terrible. I taped it this morning and am going back to look it over right now. The Bluegrass group had a banjo that didn't appear to let his handicap get in the way of some very excellent playing. My hats off to that guy.

That banjo player was UNBELIEVABLE!

During the late Bill Anderson set, you could barely hear the steel guitar, but the piano and fiddle were hot in the mix. On Jack Greene and Charlie Louvin's sets, the steel, I think Tommy, was so low it sounded dinky. I am thinking my speakers are just bad.

The banjo player was Barry Abernathy (sp?).
He is awesome. Won a few awards for banjo player of the year at SPBGMA a few years back. He was with Doyle Lawson and Quick Silver at that time. He's great.
