I heard this song on Country radio yesterday. I was sitting in my car changing stations. I remembered hearing a Country song then this Don Henley/Bruce Hornsby tune comes on. I sat up and looked at my dial thinking i may have changed the station without realizing it. Nope. I couldn't believe it. I have nothing against this song, in fact i like it. But there are at least three other stations i can find it on. But once it is playing on a Country station i have NOWHERE to hear a Country song. This is one big reason why i just don't listen to Country radio much. If i listen to the music radio it's mostly oldies for me. Heard Blue Moon and I Fought The Law back to back. Now THAT was good. But i was listening to an oldies station and they played what they advertise.

I can fondly recall when it wasn't odd to hear Haggard, Pride, Paycheck and Jones all on the same station and on the same day. Man, time flies, that was sooooooo long ago my liver still functioned well (and I started drinking at a young age!).

Years ago KFAT would play a Merle Haggard followed by the Beatles followed by Mozart, you never knew what was coming up next.

Thats why I don't bother with our "alleged" country stations in the Phoenix area.I listen to KOOL FM all oldies,50's rock.At least I know what Im going to hear.

I'm real lucky. In our area an old country station went back on the air after several years and all they play are the songs I remember as a youth. I can't take your "normal" country stations anymore!
Uff-Da!
