(or maybe not, depending on your view of current country music. )
I heard that the #1 seller of country music for 2001 (might've been 2000) was . . . . . no, not Wal-Mart . . . but K-Mart. And that they sold a whopping 27% of all country music that year. (It's incredible to think that any one retail chain could control over 1/4 of the sales).
Of course, as we know, K-Mart is about to go bankrupt.
Either country music sales are about to plummet, or Wal-Mart had better expand their country music selection . . and QUICK!

Yeah, I heard the "K" in K-Mart stands for "Kountry" (although Bobbe Seymour tells a different story ) |

The Wal-Mart music dept. sucks. And trying to get around in the electronics dept is a joke. There is always someone in the way.I go to K-Mart because there are alot less people . You can brouse and not have anyone in your way or be in anybodies way.K-Mart it`s just easier. |

In fact, Kmart is currently in Ch. 11 Bankruptcy, presumably due to the fact that there are less people in their stores. If there's a Kmart store closing near you, you might be able to get some great deals on marked down merchandise, including CDs. |

Anytime I've been to either KMART or WALMART
it's been a limited selection in tight space.
I wonder if they ever factor online sales.
