Hope nobody minds me asking a fiddle player question I'm familiar with a fiddle player by the name of Craig Duncan. I believe he's a fairly prolific player. He's also written quite a few good fiddle instruction books. However, I've also noticed in the credits of some CD's a fiddler named Greg Duncan. Are these two related to one another -- or could they possibly be the same guy?

Craig Duncan and I are old friends. We used to work a lot together in the 80's at Opryland and for TNN.I just saw him a couple of weeks ago.His wife passed away a few years ago from cancer and left him with 4 kids.He remarried two years ago and is doing very well and playing in the Nashville area.As for Gregg Duncan,I never heard of him and I don't think they are related.I will contact him and ask him about that.

Hi Earl,

I could be mistaken about the name Greg Duncan, but I'm pretty sure I've seen fiddler credits to that name. I'll do some checking to see if I can find which CD's I thought I saw it on.

I am sorry to hear of Craig's recent misfortune.

If you don't mind, tell Craig that his fiddle instruction books are outstanding

Hi Stephen,

Yes, it could very well be Glenn Duncan that I'm thinking of rather than Greg Duncan. I'm sorry I'm not more familiar with him -- I take it he's a fiddle player?
