Clyde Beavers

Post by Leonard G. Robertson »

Clyde Beavers brought his own band to the Enlisted Men's club of NAS Meridian, Ms. in 1964. He was billed as a Nashville recording star at the time. His singing of Hank Snow and Roy Acuff songs made an endelible impression on me. I've never seen nor heard of him since. Anyone know of him or ever hear him sing?

Now there's a name from the past! Moss Sanders and I backed him on several shows around this area in the late 50's-early 60's.
He once gained national attention by pushing a wheelbarrow full of his records from Chattanooga to Nashville during the DJ Convention week.
