Hank Garland did a lot of Martys guitar work on records. Marty was a good driver but could only turn left. Drove a purple and yellow Dodge.# 42, A 355 c.i. wedge,He loved it too! Well over 170 MPH in heavy traffic. On sundays mostly. Trivia, don't ya love it!
Hank Garland! Now theres a guitarest!

I saw one of the Glaser's (not Tompal - I think his name was Jim) being interviewed on TNN. Probably by Ralph Emery, in the '80s. He told the story of Marty writing El Paso, while they were on tour. I think they drove in a car in those days. No bus. Jim said Marty was writing the song for about 6 months, and would sing them the new stuff as he went along. He said they didn't know how the story would go, and they were all rooting for Felina to get shot in the end.

Jimmy Glasier, The youngest, and my closest friend of the three, but Chuck , (the middle) was a very nice guy also. Jimmy tried to have a career after the brother act but as usually happens, the deaf ears of the industry were turned his way! Really great people, The glasier Brothers. The only people they ever fought with was eachother!
