Any one have certain foods they eat that gets you just right before a gig. Mine is a good home-cooked burger

Given the time of year I will first coat my tummy by uncorking a magnum of Beaujolais Nouveau from the village of Moulin A Vent. I'm particular to that area of France cause of the word vent, which is what I will be doing approximately 45 minutes after I've stuffed myself or 5 minutes after the gout has taken effect. Round one will be marinated hearts of palm with goat cheese and a huge slab of Russian rye with an ample supply of butter. A small scoop of lime sherbet is round 1-a to cleanse my palate. The main course, round 2, is simple, consisting of braised fillet of red snapper swimming in a rich and spicy caper sauce. I've usually opt to skip on veggies since the Nouveau will contain all and any roughage I need. Depending on how much wine remains in the bottle and time remaining before the show, I'll finish with a package of Twinkies or Little Debbie's.

Love your diet...but have you considered the Hostess Cream Filled Cupcakes? Surprisingly complimentary with a wide variety of wines and after dinner liqueurs.  |
