Look in front of the new opry set for
Roy Clark hosting
Ronnie Milsap and
Alan Jackson.

I liked the performers. I have been a Roy Clark fan for years and thought he did wonderful hosting both backstage at the Oprey and the Opry portion of the show. There was steel in the music last night, you just couldn't see the players. I was glad to see Ronnie Milsap and AJ did a fantastic job.

The Opry needs a little life, this set did nothing to hurt the show. The projection screen is all I did not really like.I would like to see the band especially the Steel more visable. Heck we hardly ever see Hoot play with his fididle.Someone on your thread mike said it all. After the Ryman, some of the spirit is gone, not to mention many Legends of the past.New things have to be done before the rest of the old timers are gone with no replacements to keep it going. The set after I watched the rerun added some life.

I'm a Roy Clark fan, but Roy seemed like he was having problems Saturday night - singing and picking. I fast forwarded my tape through most of the Ronnie Milsap portion.

As far as the stage, it looks Radio has taken a back seat to the audience.
