Janice,

Donna Hammitt and her Franklin D-10 should be on Bill Anderson's segments. She did an excellent job at Stoney Stoncipher's Smoky Mountain Steel Guitar Jamboree a few weeks ago.

Actually Kyle, I enjoy Donna very much. Don't know much about Steve but I'm sure he is a fine player. What makes me snore is the actual stars themselves. Bill Anderson is OK at times (old age?). The Whites I can do without as well as Crystal Gayle. To tell you truth, I going to be out of town this weekend, so I wouldn't be able to watch anyway.

B@nko & accordian??? I think not. Rather die than play one of those.

I Say when you get a show like this, No real steel player can complain, Donna & Bills Band were Super! The Whites were also Excellent! "How about that Great Looking & Great sounding Mullen?" Steve's got real Class! Although I did'nt care for Buttermilk Skies, Lorettas sister Looked Great, and sang Great! Anyone agree with me? Al Udeen

Ok the full recap.
The weakest moment was Bill Anderson's opening number.
Cotten Patch gospel could be a decent show.
How could I guess Crystel would do Ol Buttermilk Sky ?
Steve W had a nice touch on the Frazer classic.
Donna truely shined on I Love You Drops

Mr. Bill your lackin, in value, Oh, my yes, you're a bore!!!

How about Mr. Whisperin' Bill, you coul'd offer much more.

Making room in your shoes, for a woman for to fill!

You;ll never knoow how she's learned so much of the steel,

Oh you wonderful old Ogre, you're blind, to such a deal!

G'night, Mr. Bill!!!

Sorry you're blind to the steel.

OK I peeked, no movie and Steve was hot wasn't he? .....The show was pretty good, all of it . Maybe if we all look before we leap Theresa won't have to scold us.Especially when we put something down before we see it. One other thing the place was packed...Great to see Leon with a smile ,and the man can pick. The white's sure picked a song that would feature all, and did. Even Bill Andersons Chia Pet Hair-Piece looked good.

I never get to watch the Opry except for taping it to watch later. I watched it this morning and I think Steve Wilkerson was just great. I'm copying that tune to a tape I like to practice along with. That's my kind of steel playing and he did a wonderful job!

Janice,

Thanks for the e-mail. I thought the show was great. Donna was excellent as always and Steve Wilkerson knows how to really "go to town".

Janice, check your e-mail.
