Forum Member's CD's

Post by Jackie Toney »

I just wanted to comment on the CD's I got from the Forum Catalog. The first one I got a couple of years ago by "b0b" and it is really great. Now I have Dayna Wills (what a great voice she has), Northern Steel (all I can say is (WOW!!! Outstanding Steelin), Beats Walkin (very good western swing, Love it!), The Country All Stars (this is an awesome band),Nouveau Steel (great jazz playing), b0b and Roy's Diatonic Adventures (this cd is one of a kind).

These CD's will be played often at my house. If any of you haven't heard them you just don't know what you're missing. There's some of the best Steel Guitar playing on them I've heard in a while. A great variety of songs.

Jackie

I second that motion. I just bought Dayna Wills' "Inside Out", Jim Cohen's Western Omellette, and Peggy Green's "My Voice", all nicely done with lots of good steel.

And the delivery was fast, thanks b0b.

All great albums (I'll have to get the Dayna Wills item soon).

For those of you who are relatively new to the Forum, the original CD available here is Bobby Lee's Quasar album. Excellent musically, and contains, IMHO, one of the most beautiful steel recordings of all time. b0b's recording of Sand is pure magic. I remember Paul Frankin posting the comment a couple of years ago that Sand alone is worth the price of the CD. Highly recommended!
