Dave;
According to the website, it's actually acrylic and fabric on wood - 34 x 25 inches, owned by some folks in Brooklyn.
The artist is a guy named Joe Coleman, and Hank is one of a series he's done this style. I noticed this at a newsstand on the cover of a magazine a couple of weeks ago, bought the mag and then found the URL in the article - it's the James Corcoran Gallery.
The cool thing about it , though you can't see the text detail on the jpeg here, is all the little other graphics/text that touch on all the aspects of hank's life - Audrey, Teetot, Billie Jean, the Drifting Cowboys etc.

Earnest,according to Colin Escott's great book"Hank Williams",Hank was meant to be christened Hiram,but was belatedly registered with the Bureau of Vital Statistics as'Hiriam"...remember,they were out in the country... |
