Weissonator (tricone/Weiss) FS

Post by Mike D »

Hey all, one of my old customers has found that because of hand/wrist problems that he can no longer play lap style so he's needing to move this guitar

that I made him about 3 years ago.
Anyone interested please contact me and I'll put you in touch with him.

Nothing in this for me, just helping out a good guy.

That is a beautiful instrument. If wishes were fishes... I mean, lap steels... never mind...

Thanks Kieth. I wish I had the bucks to buy it back. I still have the first one I made but it's almost not suitable for public view. Image

WOW, Mike. Res-plendent looking! Curious how it sounds, really looks like it can be sweet and loud.

mmmm... KOA... Purty....

Is that the one that we made the short sound bite of? I don't remember was it the KOA one or the Myrtle one that we did a 17 second clip of. I still have that I could post it up if ya want.

That was the one Mike. I think we used it on Open Sea Blues too.

To hear the sound of the Weissonator Tricone here's "Open Sea Blues" http://members.cox.net/blueswizards/music/openseablues.mp3

This is an acoustic blues instrumental featuring the "Weissonator" a lap style Weissenborn shaped Tricone built by Mike D and a German Silver Tricone built by Mike S.

The recording was done with a single Rode NT1 on my home computer so it's not a studio recording.
[This message was edited by Mike Simpson on 07 December 2006 at 08:28 AM.]
