Need the dimensions on a case for a T-8 Fender Stringmaster. Need the inside dimensions for the guitar storage area and also the leg storage area. Then I would need the overall exterior dimension,"length, width, and heigth". Can't find any original cases so I'll have one built. Can anyone out there help me out? 73's...CUL... Frank

Hey Frank; if your having one made; I would just give the guy the deminsions of your steel to him. The original case for a fender T-8 Stringmaster, really isn't a good fit at all. Mine moves around because the deminsions inside are larger than the steel. I can give you the exactly deminsions of my case but you would do alot better with just measuring your steel; and going from there. Oh you will need about a 2 1/2" wide space for the leggs and what ever the length of the case comes out to be; that will be fine for the length of that leg slot. Let me know if I can help further.

Ola Frank:
I needed a decent case for my '28 National as I got it with the original drop-seat canvas jobbie. Luckily I ran into Matt Brady from Ameritage carrying cases (Elkhart Lake Wisc) at a the Chicago Guitar show. They were able to take a tracing of the National and build me an awesome custom case complete down to the Fender tweed to match my Stringmaster:

Ameritage has a website at

<a src="http://www.ameritage.com" http://www.ameritage.com and Matt Brady is at matt@ameritage.com

BTW, the original Stringmaster case is about four inches too big! I have to keep a roll of foam wedged in there to keep the guitar from rolling around.

Good luck & keep rattling them strings...

I have a triple and I put a foam pad on top of the guitar mainly to keep the tuning pegs from being bent by the legs, a pretty poorly designed case. A flip top lid over the leg section would help. Maybe mine is missing something?
