In order to fund another purchase, I have decided to sell my Weissenborn. It is a very cool guitar. It was built about 4 or 5 years ago by a Colorado picker and part-time luthier, Charlie Bailey.
It's koa with a redwood top, ebony headstock and fingerboard. The fingerboard markers are the phases of the moon in abalone, and the fret lines are ivoroid. It is also bound with ivoroid on the top and fingerboard. The soundhole rosette is a single abalone ring. Tonally, it is beautiful, very responsive and has a lot of overtones.
There are no cracks. It has a few pecks and nicks here and there and some finish checking on the top. It has been gigged quite a bit. And in a ski town that means playing outside even in the winter.
The price is $1050 for the Weiss including a heavy cordura gig bag with backpack straps, and USPS shipping and insurance within the US.
Please email for pictures.
Thanks,
Keith Hunter
