Been listening to classic country on XM radio recently and hear a lot of Pete Drake stuff. The latest being on Jim Reeves's Fallen Star.

Does anyone have any of Pete's licks tabbed out and can they be done on today's E 9th standard tuning?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi Guys,
A few years ago I did an album for a guy who sang a few Jim Reeves songs that Pete Drake played on at the time. All I did was to copy his licks for those specific songs. The slow ones I don't mind tabbing, but the faster bar-bounce stuff I'm sure I don't ever remember how I managed to play that.
So, give me a few days to finish off some recordings I'm busy with, and I'll gladly tab out some of the slower licks for E9th.

Check out www.limewire.com. Once you get to the website you will need to D/load a small Prg. (Basic Prg. Not the one that is for sale) to be able to view the songs. There is literally thousands in what ever catagory you want. The Prg is free. The songs are free. The only thing you do is share what songs that you may have with others. The whole thing seems to be a safe operation. Just make sure that you D/load song that are over 1000 KB. There are loads of Pete Drake songs with him solo on his Talking Steel and regular Steel and some with him backing up someone. You can also get loads of Buddy Emmons = lots of Country artists. Check it out.
