Is there anyone out there writing tab for today's top 40 country music? I have been listening and learning but some tab would really help.

You might want to check out Rick Kornacker's site at www.steppingstonemusic.com
He has a few current top 40 steel tunes tabbed out and lots of his "session picks" were top 40 tunes in the 90's when it seems like the steel was a lot more prominent in commercial country than at the present time.
