Anyone have this Weldon Myrick intro tabbed out? I just want to see if I am on track with everyone else on this tune.
Thanks

Hey guys, I looked over the tab on the intro and thats not the way I learned it. Was the tab in Winnie Winston's or Manual of Styles book wrong? Where is the use of strings 1 and 2 for the unision voicing?

I think it's in the Manual of Styles book. As I remember that transcription incorporates Weldon Myrick's unique tuning/knee lever setup. I think he tuned string 2 to D and raised it to D# with a knee lever. ?? Anyway, that change may have been used in the intro, I'm not sure. I play pretty much as it's written on Rebel's site.

There seems to be a more basic problem with the transcription than which strings and copedant to use. My ears could deceive me, but it sure sounds like the first bar (i.e. after the pick up) has a high note F# on top, not an A as indicated by "12B" in the tab. Might this initial lick not start at the tenth fret, strings 4-5-6, working down through frets 9 and 8 with the same strings but the E lever engaged?
