Get Buddy Emmons "Christmas sounds of the Steel Guitar". Pretty straight forward and not too difficult to play. Ernie Renn can probably help you out on this one.

Fran Newman may have what you need, too. Jeff put out a book only version of easy Christmas songs.

I believe that Doug Beaumier has "Away in the Manger" for free on his web site. I downloaded it a year ago and it's a very good version.

What does the scene look like in the C6th department? Is there very much Christmas stuff out there on the ole Texas neck?

In the Buddy Emmons Christmas book "I'll be Home for Christmas", "Let it snow", and the ending for "Winter wonderland" are played on the C6th neck. All great songs and Buddy does them well!!
