That's one I hadn't heard. Just one more example of why most folks consider Buddy the "world's foremost" steel player. Just amazing.

Shades of Joaquin indeed! I used Finale, added three lines to a normal staff, deleted the noteheads (and other minor details) and replaced them with text.
Tony Laborie sent this song my way, and I think it was on a compilation; I'll ask him & let you know.

This song can be found on Bear Family's Curtis Gordon Rockin' & Rollin' vol 1. album ( vinyl ) and BF has also released both volumes on cd.
On the record the last lick is actually a palm harmonic chord slide with a volume pedal swell, you know the classic Hank Thompson "wah-ah-a-aa lick"
