Looking For Guitar Tab Software

Hi folks. For years, I've written tab manually by hand. It's about time I switched over from steam to electricity!!!!

Is there software out there that will give me six lines (to represent the strings) plus numerals and some symbols? I don't need any music notation.

http://tabledit.com/

It does a lot more than you're asking for.
That's not a bad thing.

Try the free trial and see. I've been using it for years.

This post belongs in Tab or Music.
I'm moving it to TAB.

Joey, I know this is asking way too much, but, is there anything that can just pick up the sound and produce the tab? Think about it; a program that would be sensitive to an Emmons pedal copedant with rubric string sizes. Maybe it's just a matter of time.

I use a free tablature application called Power Tab Editor. You can create, edit, print and play the files. It can be downloaded here: http://www.power-tab.net/downloads.php

There are a lot of excellent tabs that have been created with Power Tab Editor that you can download. They are rated by users, so try to get the ones with 5 stars. You can search or browse by artist, title, or genre. Here's the main site for tabs: http://www.powertabs.net/
