Has anybody written out the cords for this song? Last song on Buddys "Amazing" album. I play this song in Eb, but have trouble finding some correct-sounding cords for end of the theme.

If you go to a jam and play this tune, the other players will likely know it best in Eb, as that's the key it was written in.
The standard progression deviates slightly from the version mick kindly posted:

Some people play |Abm7 Db7#11| for the 10th and 26th bar.
In the 28th bar, I have listed an F13. Some people further resolve that to F#o for the second half of the bar. Either way, it is definitely not a VI chord, as I hear many people play.

Of course, for those not put off by the concept, the Ab chord in measure 29 is indeed Ab7#11... to coincide with the melody note. That's at fret 8 on C6, using pedals 6&7, or alternately using pedal 6 with the third string lowered 1/2 tone.
If that makes you throw up your hands in despair, then please don't try to learn Tenderly, or On a Clear Day, and please never play that jazz standard "Happy Birthday", or you'll be forced to deal with it.
Friggin' jazz guys... they're taking things over...

| Thank's folks. Got what I need. Recorded the bass and guitarline on my homerec.stud. yesterday, sounds fine. No if I only could nail the steelpart...... Any good suggestions on how to aproach the improvisation-part? |

They have just about everything you'd need to explore chords, scales and how they go together. By getting it in your head as MUSIC as opposed to steel tab, you can find the notes on your neck(s) and will retain the info (most likely) much better than if it were tabbed on steel. More work, but better results, IMHO. |
