Strings 4&6 E9th pedal steel

Post by Ricky Davis »

Well another discussion in the Pedal steel section; Under "Tom Brumley and Cold Cold Heart" seen here> http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum5/HTML/008166.html
It has brought up the use of strings 4&6 and the movements you can make with them. Take for instance that one line Tom played in "Together again" and say your having to play the song in the Key of C or even B and you have no room to go back on strings 3&5. So here is the same line that can be played on Strings 4&6 and it is the exact same voicing and texture as the original.

There are many many beautiful passes and movements right there for the taking that folks may not think about or use; simply because it involves using and rocking back and forth on B&C pedals..ah..ha...
So this would be a nice start to some more cool licks and movements that are there for the taking> what say YOU????
