Minor harmonized scales

I am looking for a bit of help in constructing these scales for E9. Do I just start on the minor 6th chord of the relative major scale and use the same intervals as that same major scale? For example, if I want to play an Am harmonized scale, do I play the associated Cmaj harmonized scale beginning on the minor 6th(Am)chord?

The semitone intervals are different. C Major scale is 2-2-1-2-2-2-1 (semitones).
C Minor scale is 2-1-2-2-1-2-2 (Natural)
2-1-2-2-1-3-1 (Harmonic)
2-1-2-2-2-2-1 (Melodic)
The Harmonic is the most common in use.
The Melodic flats the third tone (good for melodies) while the Harmonic flats both the third and the 6th (good for harmonies in cords).
Check out chordwizard.com. I think the link is available on the Forum links page.
Anyway, that's what I get out of it so far.
Good luck! Thirds and fifths correspond in turn.
