I have added a C6th arrangement of the Hoagy Carmichael/Johnny Mercer tune 'Skylark' to my
tab page. I think its fair to say that this song is not very well known, and that it has a very weird middle 8 . Doug Jernigan has recorded the tune, and, to refresh your memory, you can hear a clip of Malcolm McNeill singing it here .

Jim, I agree. And if Ella's rendition won't melt you, nothing will. |

Thanks Mick for the effort well done.
Everyone should check out K.D. Langs rendition of Skylark off the sound track
to "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" |

Hello Mick,
I have always loved playing Skylark. Recently I worked it up for the E9th tuning and published it in a recent issue of the PSGA Newsletter. It's one of those great songs that translates well on either the C6th or the E9th tuning. I am enjoying your arrangement.

Mick,
I sang Skylark nightly for about 10 years when I was playing the Dallas Market.
Terrific tune. One of my all time favorites.
