I went to the store today to buy some stuff to make some home made egg-nog. They had plenty of fresh eggs but no fresh nogs
Fresh nog is about as hard to find as fresh chromatic fills.
Anyone know where to find some tab on E9th chromatic fills ? |

Buddy Emmons lessons and tablature (from the website) has a wealth of chromatic movement in context. I don't know any other player that utilizes chromatic stuff quite so musically. |

I love the F# to F used in conjunction with the G# to F#. It's a chromatic toolbox. Think about this:
5------------------------------------------------
6------3bb-------6bb-------9bb---------12bb--13bb
7---3b-------6b--------9b----------12b-----------
8-3-------6---------9----------12----------------
9
Find an easier way to play a chromatic scale -- I DARE YOU.

Larry or Buddy, what are the advantages of doing it your way as opposed to playing one fret lower with E-F and G#-G using the split on the B pedal? Are there other uses for F#-F? |

That's another way to do it, Jim.
I can't get my E to F and G# to G at the same time so this way works better for me. Everything's on the left knee for me, so I had to find something else.
Also of note, ALL UNIVERSAL PLAYERS HAVE THE F# TO F. It's on what's usually P4 (the pedal that raises the bottom B to C# for a C#9). Using that pedal with G# to F# is another option if you don't have F# to F on that pedal.
Other uses would be to flat the 9th in the E9 position to give a 7b9. I'm sure there are other uses.
