I put together a track for Away In A Manger tonight. It's in the key of G. I used drums, bass, chorused piano and acoustic guitar. Let me know if you like it. I'll probably do some more as I have time. I'll take ideas if you have any. I'd like to put together, as I mentioned in a previous post, a cd full of tracks for sale if anyone is interested..
www.16tracks.com/songs/PedalSteel/AwayInAManger.mp3

The song plays as follows
6 click intro (2 measures)
4 verses
4 bar tag at the end

chords are exactly what you would expect.
<font face="monospace" size="2"><pre>
|G - - |- - - |C - - |G - - |
|D7 - - |- - - |G4 - - |G - - |
|G - - |- - - |C - - |G - - |
|Am - - |Em - - |Am - D |G - - |

and the tag just repeats the last line.
</pre></font>

By the way.....
I'm also writing out the tab (with TablEdit) for this tune the way I play it. If anyone is interested, I'll post that later too.

Nice track, Gary. Would be interested in seeing the tab for it as well.

This is similar to Doug's arrangement but I'm without one of the lever changes he has so naturally, I wrote what works on my steel

Yay, yay, yay. Someone likes one of my arrangements. New musical breakthrough for me on pedal steel. One day, I might even be able to play what I tab.
