In the arrangement of 'Londonderry Air' on pages 92/93 of the excellent Winston/Keith book, I am puzzled by the use of the C pedal in the last bar but 2. It seems to me that you can get the same result using the A pedal, which then makes the 13th position chord much easier to achieve.
Can anyone say why Bill Keith tabbed it this way ? |

Hi Mick
I had a look at it last evening and would agree that it is easier to use the A pedal rather than the C pedal. My only thought is that if you look at Page 124 at the pedal arrangement that he is using, it may be easier for him to get the 13th position from the C pedal - but I cant see it myself. |

Bill's copedant shown at the back is a (pretty weird looking) Universal one - and the 'C' pedal on it (or at least the 3rd pedal) raises the G#'s
