I have to play a gig this Friday and I know we're going to play Good Hearted Woman. I have listened to the recording over and over and I cannot get the lead-in rif that's being played when the chorus starts. It sounds like a double picking where one single string is played alternately with another, but I cannot get it right. I have an E9th standard 10.

Any quick suggestions from all you guys who love the old stuff, too!?

Alternate from your major I-chord to your I7 chord. If you do it quickly and do it 3 times then you'll be real close. I learned it from Jeff Newman. Let's say your in the key of G at the 3rd fret. Pick strings 4 & 5 alternately while sliding back 2 frets with the A pedal down and back up to 3rd fret (no pedals).
