TablEdit Tab for Whidby Hornpipe

Well everyone, especially TablEdit[TE] members, after a bit of TE editing and PC struggling, I am now able to present this great old Irish hornpipe.

I owe much thanks to Matthieu, b0b, and Lori
for their expertise in bringing this tab to the Forum.
Matthieu on the TE side helped me with placing the notes properly within the bars
in order to make the sound playback sound right. I think a few rests were added as well.
And b0b and Lori on the PC side of things. b0b had to reconfigure my images from MSWord97 thru ProPaintShop with a bunch of tweaking and so cleared up the image quite well.

In TE PITCH CHANGE dialog, here is my setup:
A - B-C#[5&9]
B - G#-A[3,6,10]
D - E-D#[4&8]
F - E-F[4,8,11]
H - C#-D#[2]

Hope you all enjoy this melody. It's a bit of a challenge, but is quite fun to play.
For TE users, some of the better instruments for playback are: grand acoustic piano; honkytonk piano; accordion; acoustic guitar [nylon]; elec. guitar [jazz]; pizzicato strings; orchestral harp; french horn; synth bass 1&2; fretless bass; elec. bass [picked]; string ensemble 1; harpsichord; viola; these sounds, of course are JMHO.

Thanks Doug,
Yeah, I've been at U-12 for about 8/9
years now. I'm gonna try out your SEPTEMBER
SONG thru TablEdit. Once again, this is where
TE really shines. I'm not familiar with September Song, but now the TAB has sound with it as well; the visualization seems to help as well. It looks good.

Well, I DID goof after all. The hornpipe is
"WHITBY" and not "WHIDBY". Sorry for the mess
up.

Hi Chip,
How do I copy this into TablEdit so I can hear it played? Thanks,
Jim

Jim,

Chip would have to email you the .tef file. As soon as you open it, you'd be able to play the piece (if you're a registered user). What you're seeing above is a gif file... an image, similar to a .jpg.

The bigger mystery to me is... why do these things not print out here? There's just a big blank spot where the tab should be. The first one I posted printed out, but no others. Maybe they must be exported from TE at 100% to print here?

BTW, there are a LOT of guitar sites that feature links to TE .tef files. It's fun to poke around these sites and download the tunes that others have put together. Many of these TE arrangements have a rhythm section and bass parts built into the TE MIDI. Some of them sound incredible.

Jim, I'll send the TEF to you for Whitby
Hornpipe.

And Doug, with your tab of 'September Song'
and Ebb's 'Misty', I get a print out OK,
but the right sides are cut off. ie - missing
a measure or 2 on the right side of the tab.

Like the tab is too wide for PRINT PREVIEW to accomodate it.
We all got get this one cleared up, eh?
