I use this lick over a minor chord in this case Em. I stole a part of it from Sneaky Pete's solo on Jackson Brown's version of Take it Easy, but took it the next step

The only hit with the picks is at the beginning at the third fret, use the volume pedal to swell as the sound starts to diminish up th neck. This sounds great with harmonics as an alternative.
