Just a couple of ways to change between positions on the neck.
I have only shown them ascending, but they can be played decending also.
The cromatic is the easy one, but same principle is used for the other examples.

<font face="monospace" size="2"><pre>
Chromatic (No Key) (no-pedals or knee levers)
1---------------------------------------------------------------------------
2---4-----5-----6-----7-----8-----------------------------------------------
3--------------------------------Continue up--------------------------------
4-----4~5---5~6---6~7---7~8---8---------------------------------------------
5---------------------------------------------------------------------------
6---------------------------------------------------------------------------
7---------------------------------------------------------------------------
8---------------------------------------------------------------------------
9---------------------------------------------------------------------------
10---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Major scale (Key of G) (2 of 7 positions don,t use the knee-raise, Open position G & C)
1---------------------------------------------------------------------------
2---4-------6------8------9-------11--------13--------15-------16-----------
3---------------------------------------------------------------------------
4-----4R~6R---6R~8---8~9R---9R~11R---11R~13R---13R~15----15~16R-------------
5---------------------------------------------------------------------------
6---------------------------------------------------------------------------
7---------------------------------------------------------------------------
8---------------------------------------------------------------------------
9---------------------------------------------------------------------------
10---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Major scale in 3rds (key of G) (3 of 7 positions don,t use knee-raise, Open position G, C & D)
1---------------------------------------------------------------------------
2---------------------------------------------------------------------------
3-----3------4-------6-----8------10--------11---------13--------15---------
4---3---3~4R---4R~6R---6~8---8~10----10~11R----11R~13R----13R~15----15------
5---------------------------------------------------------------------------
6---Play this string instead of 3rd for variation---------------------------
7---------------------------------------------------------------------------
8---Play this string instead of 4th for variation---------------------------
9---------------------------------------------------------------------------
10---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scale again (key of G) (2 of 7 positions use knee-raise, A+F position G & D)
1---------------------------------------------------------------------------
2---------------------------------------------------------------------------
3---------------------------------------------------------------------------
4---------------------------------------------------------------------------
5---------------------------------------------------------------------------
6---------------------------------------------------------------------------
7-----3~5---5~6----6~8---8~10----10~12----12~13-----13~15-------------------
8---3-----5-----6R-----8------10-------12-------13R-------15----------------
9---------------------------------------------------------------------------
10---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some good ideas here! I am going to try some of them over the weekend.
