bb7th & bb9th chords ?

Can someone explain how these would be used in the num system, an why it is a (b) or # in any given song. Jerry

A bb7 7th (double-flatted 7th) note is actually a 6th note that is sometimes referred to as a bb7th note when spelling out diminished chords:
(Read from the bottom up).

There is no such thing as a bb7 chord.

A 9th note is an octave plus 2 frets. So, a b9 is an octave plus 1 fret. Trying to lower this one more fret gets us an 8-note. There is no bb9 note -- nor bb9 chord.

You appear to have chord and scale tone intervals confused with what is commonly referred to as the 'number system' used to designate the names of chords.
