Scale and chord at the same time (E9)

Playing part of a scale this way makes it sound not like a scale ( I think )
The example consists of two parts (a high part, mostly eight-notes scale and a low part, only quarter-notes from the chord)
A good idea is to learn the high part first and then try to mix in the low notes.
