Hey Bengt!

I think he would have been too busy figuring out the harpiscord than to be trying to learn PSG. I picture him as having long hair and extremely contrary (mean) to learning some hi-tech mechanical device. I think he composed this because something made him angry, but he said "What the hell!" I'll make something out of this the future musicians will like. Now Bengt, if I have confused you enough, don't tell me now, but I will ask you where you found this because I'm sure I've heard it somewhere before. Great work as usual me' ol' friend. Sounds like the flute part to the last movement of the 2nd orchestral suite by my favorite composer.

I heard a version where some crazy German chap played all the flute parts on a trumpet.

Earnest got it right. It is "badinerie" in Bm by J.S.Bach. It is written for flute, but I figured out how to play it on a 6 string a couple of years ago. I just had to try to see if it was possible to play on the steel as well. And it fits very well on the steel I think.
