This is for my friend Bud Harger.
Sorry to be so long writing this out. I wanted to find a chart to confirm my notions about how it went.
I thought I'd go ahead and post this much of it, and hopefully post the bridge early next week. The chords are from the New Real Book. I wouldn't have naturally played the turnaround like this, but I have to admit, it's pretty hip.
R means raise half tone
L means lower half tone
I don't have the A-B raise, which could be used in this arrangement, so I use pedal 7. Adjust to taste.

John--once again you have tantalized me with a piece of tab that is out of my reach (due to a bastardized E9/B6 setup that makes reading C6 tab a real moving your lips sort of excercise.
But nonetheless, you are awesome, dude.

John; that is one fine piece of tabbing my friend. Your chart and measures are super. Your work here is admirable.

Great tab! We are so lucky to have all this fine material on the Forum!

Being a real old timer, I am especially lucky that I can play all those old tunes without tab, from memory.

Any 6th tuning will do, but I feel most comfortable with my old E6-E13-E9 S12 tuning.

This Tab section of the Forum is just great for all the guys......al

I didn't try this out because I'm not familiar with the song, so I'm probably off base. I just wanted to ask if the D7#9 chord in the ending should have been on the 5th fret, and not the 3rd? The tab looks great and if I can get a copy of the song, I'd love to try it. .. Jeff

I have amended that D7#9 chord to the right fret. Thank you Jeff !

Edit: Jeff, if you are interested in hearing this tune, I found a track of it on MP3.com, by a guy named Matthew Aaron Dusk. (?) I don't know how he treats it, because (as usual) I couldn't get it to play on my system. I'm sure the problem is at my end.
Harold Arlen wrote the tune... it's a golden oldie.

John,playing tab on the E9,B6th does take alittle time but it does get easier. DB

John, thanks again for your efforts and I'd like to tell all you guys that this song is one of many wonderful songs done on a CD by Steve Tyrell called A New Standard (Atlantic). This easy listening jazz CD has no steel on it but it is magnificent.
